Event at my store
Wow...last night was heck of a night. I had an event at my store, Disney Vault 28 releasing seatbelt bags. Who would have thought that seatbelt bags are the new "in" thing? Actually my event at store was a big success. Harvey's Seatbelt bags partnered with Disney to create a line of comic Mickey cartoons with an all over print The bags turned out really well and the people buying them were excited to get their hands on one of them. Although these bags were released yesterday at my store, I had one stressful Saturday afternoon. My day started going to DV28 to prep the store for our night event of the Harvey's Mickey Seatbelt bags. I had no visual merchandiser there to help me so I had the help of the other buyer that works with me prep this wall where we would merchandise the bags. That was actually pretty fun and I was pleased with the final result. By the time we got the wall done it was time for the event. There were lots of people lined up to get their hands on these bags. The event was a success and can't wait for another.

Interesting. I once had a whole semester class on consumer behavior. I was hoping there would be creative ways to dazzle potential buyers. It wasn't. It was full of "eggs in the back in the supermarket so the people have to walk past all the other goodies" kind of stuff. There's nothing like real world experience, sometimes, and it's great that you can create and see your results right away.
